Mendelssohn’s Midsummer

Stephen Redwood Plays, Theatre Leave a Comment

I’m currently rehearsing for a concert with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In it, I am playing Puck – but with a slightly different twist! It’s been great fun working on the script with Charlotte Dreissler, Laurie Scott, Catherine Barr and Tim Pollack. Jennifer Dick has been directing us, and we’ve been exploring the text and music over a few days. We’ll be performing at City Halls with the orchestra, who sound phenomenal in the other concerts that we’ve seen. See the poster above for a taste of the show, and if you can, catch myself and my friends on BBC radio or make it down to City Halls in Glasgow.
